Operation Rolling Thunder Prayer Focuses

GOVERNMENT

Rom.13:1 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.  (Other Script. 1Tim.2:1-4, Prov. 21:1)

Areas of Government to pray for: State, District & Town/City governments…Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches and their staffs…Police, Fire, Rescue, Marshals, Deputies, Rangers, Officials and Boards.

Thank God for:

·       Him establishing law, order, safety, peace and assistance through government

·       Those believing Christians and righteous leaders He has blessed us with in positions of leadership & authority

·       His willingness to help us and our leaders

·       The righteous roots & heritage we have in Connecticut

Repent for:

·       Complaining about government & not praying for our government

·       Any foolish & wicked decisions make by our government

·       Departing from our righteous heritage

·       Not voting and participating in our governmental process as we have opportunity

Declare:

·       Jesus Christ is Lord over all governments including those in Connecticut and He raises & removes those He wills

·       That God intends governments to be a blessing and we will have it so

·       That righteousness establishes a government & people but sin is the downfall of government & people

·       That government leaders are to serve for the benefit of the people and not for selfish purposes

Pray:

·       For Divine wisdom to be given to our leaders to make wise & righteous decisions

·       For protection for our leaders, their families and their property

·       That they would all come to a saving knowledge our Jesus Christ

·       For Courage for our leaders to stand for righteousness and not bow to "political correctness"

·       For Government leaders to be good role models of righteousness, service, hard work, mercy & wisdom

·       That police and others would have Divine protection & guidance to maintain law and order

·       That Connecticut would fulfill God's purposes for the state

·       For Peter Wolfgang, Exec. Dir. Family Institute of CT  - wisdom & influence

·       For Rep. Bruce Morris & Senator Michael McLaughlin (greater support in all arenas)

Resist the enemy:

·       Resist the foolishness & wickedness of "political correctness"

·       Resist the schemes of Satan to use our Government to destroy God's definition of marriage

·       Resist the enemy's schemes to bring compromise into the public & private lives of our leaders

·       Resist the Anti-Christ spirit that has invaded many areas of our government

FAMILIES

Col.3:18-21 Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands love your wives and do not be harsh with them. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.

Areas to pray for families: husbands, wives, children, parents, extended family, all age groups/generations [from babies in the womb to toddlers to teens to adults to the elderly], singles (young & old), the lonely, widows & orphans & run-a-ways, dysfunctional families, the break up of the family unit, finances, families attending church together.

Thank God for:

·       His beautiful plan & provision in the institutions of marriage & family

·       His restorative power, wisdom & grace to fix what has been broken

·       His willingness to use imperfect vessels to work out His perfect plan

·       Our natural parents, spiritual parents and National/Local parents

Repent for:

·       Not treating our family members with honor

·       Taking one another for granted

·       The abuse that is so prevalent in many families

·       Abortion

·       Absent fathers

·       Sex outside of marriage

·       Money and things and careers becoming more important than family

·       Not being thankful for our families

·       Leaving God out of family life

·       The Church being just as dysfunctional in families as the world

Declare:

·       Jesus Christ is Lord over the family

·       God's power & grace is well able to fix what has become broken

·       God has a great plan and purpose for each and every person in our families

·       As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord.

Pray:

·       That God's Word would prevail in instructing people about family

·       That God would turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers

·       That Government legislation would be pro-life & pro-family

·       That the Church would be a place of healing, restoration and modeling what God intended for the family

·       That abuse would be exposed and properly dealt with

·       That love, peace, honor, forgiveness, nurturing & protection would be the environment of our homes

·       That families would gain financial discipline and prosper

·       That families would have quality and quantity time together

·       That communications between family members would be blessed

·       That Good, loving foster families available in every town and school system

Resist the enemy:

·       Resist the enemy's slanderous/scandalous/venomous verbal abuse one towards another

·       Resist the temptation to be unfaithful

·       Resist anger, rage, malice, discord

·       Resist resentment, bitterness & unforgiveness toward family members

·       Resist the temptation to treat family members worse than others

CHURCH

1Pet.2:5,9 You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God… you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Areas to consider: Unity of the brethren, church leadership, evangelism, outreach, building up one another, purity in the church, restored relationships in the churches, worship, prayer, the study of the Bible, the five-fold ministry, gifts and talents, dealing with denominations, church finances, church attendance, vision and purpose, growth and protection, passion and balance and maturity, relevance yet not worldly, pleasing God, etc.

Thank God for:

·       Knitting the Church together as He sees fit

·       Sharing His power, authority, wisdom & purposes with us

·       Church leadership

·       The Local church

·       For all churches large & small, with young & old, and all nationalities, etc.

·       The victory we have in Christ

·       The freedom to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ freely

Repent for:

·       Disunity in the Body

·       Ungodliness in the Church

·       Not taking God's Word seriously

·       " A little dab" wont do ya

·       Placing God below other things in our lives

·       The Church not using the power & authority it has been given

·       Allowing confusion and foolishness to dwell in our lives and churches

·       Not fulfilling the Great Commission

·       Getting caught up in minor issues while ignoring the major issues

·       For allowing programs to replace God's ways and God's power

Declare:

·       That Jesus Christ is Lord of His Church

·       The Church shall glorify God

·       The Church shall walk in power, purity, unity, & love in and outside of their particular church

·       The Church shall delight in worshipping God and God will delight in the worship of His people.

·       The resources of this world will flow into God's Temple and will be used for His purposes

Pray:

·       That church leaders would gain the heart, mind and character of Christ

·       That God's people would humble themselves and pray

·       That Divine strategies for effective work & victory & life would be down loaded to the Church

·       That the Five Fold Ministry Gifts would be in operation in our State

·       That God would heal His people & their relationships

·       That the people of God would grow up spiritually and walk in wisdom, power & character

·       That the Church would learn how to be salt and light in the world & souls would get saved

·       That the Church would bind the enemy and loose the prisoners

·       That the Church would cooperate with the Holy Spirit in Her preparation as the Bride

·       That we would have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church

·       That any special meetings in the State would be blessed

Resist the enemy:

·       Resist the temptation to complain about church

·       Resist the temptation to bring discord and division

·       Resist the enemy's attempt to bring oppression and depression upon the people of God

·       Resist apathy, hopelessness, doubt and unbelief

·       Resist the reasonings of man

BUSINESS

Ecclesiastes 3:22 So I saw that there is nothing better for a man than to enjoy his work, because that is his lot.

Areas concerning Business to pray for: Employer/Employee Relationship, Health of the Economy (State, & Local), Good work ethic, etc.

Thank God for:  

·       His provision and His plans & purposes for the work of our hands

·       His Divine Wisdom & Strength to help

·       His Redeeming Grace to sanctify such a significant area of our lives

Repent for:

·       Dishonesty in the workplace

·       Being a poor Christian Example in the workplace

·       Complaining about our bosses and our work

·       Leaving God out of our business life

·       Mistreating other people in the workplace

·       Lack of diligence, attentiveness, & excellence in our work

Declare:

·       Jesus Christ is Lord over all businesses

·       God's Power and Wisdom is available to help prosper the work of our hands

·       Our businesses in Connecticut will glorify & please God and help others

·       Christians will be salt and light in the workplace

·       The Gospel will go forth in the workplace

Pray:

·       That business leaders will have wisdom & vision to make good & righteous choices

·       That there would be honesty and integrity in business dealings

·       For bosses to respect workers and workers to respect bosses

·       That growth, development, & mentoring be made available in the workplace

·       For creative ideas from management and workers to improve product, working conditions & relationships

·       That the State Government would not make it impossible for companies to be profitable in CT

·       For Business & Education to network together for the benefit of all

·       For Christians to have wisdom and boldness to share their faith in the workplace

Resist the enemy:

·       Resist dishonesty and abuse in the workplace

·       Resist complaining and dishonor in the workplace

·       Resist the spirit of greed and the temptation to make money more important than people

·       Resist the schemes of Satan to enslave people to their jobs

·       Resist the enemies schemes to keep Christians from their spiritual responsibilities by encroaching on their Sabbaths or other service times

EDUCATION

Prov. 2:3-6 And if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.  For the Lord gives wisdom, and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Areas to consider: Pre-School, Grade School, Middle School, High School, College, Home School, Curriculum, relationships between Teacher/Student/Administration/School Boards/Parent/Business/Education, Special Education, Guidance Counselors, Psychiatrist, School Nurse, Custodians, School Bus drivers, Cafeteria workers and food issues, school property & facilities, Christian Schools, Government Legislation concerning education Issues, school discipline, After School Programs

Thank God for:

·       His Plan of growth and development for our lives

·       Him being the Ultimate Teacher & the Truth

·       His calling, anointing, and appointing people to teach and mentor others

·       That we will know the Truth and the Truth will make us free

Repent for:

·       Parents not being more involved in their children's education

·       Lack of communication between all those involved in our children's education

·       Impropriety in relationships:  Teacher/Student & Student/Student

·       Parents not expecting their children to act appropriately in school

·       Ungodly curriculum

·       Substance abuse and violence in the schools

Declare:

·       Jesus Christ is Lord over the Educational System

·       Children are a blessing of the Lord

·       God's Truth shall prevail over the deceptions of the enemy

Pray:

·       That the Curriculum would be pleasing to God and promote righteousness & truth

·       That teachers and administrators would be good role models

·       That there would be safety for teachers, students, staff, & school property

·       That students would enjoy learning and would be equipped for life

·       For improved communication for all involved

·       That students would continue to have the right to express their Christian faith

·       That Christian teachers would have wisdom to share their faith

·       That educational standards would be raised

·       That students will not be sexually active

·       That parents would be more aware of their child's attendance

·       That our Christian Heritage would be taught and not rewritten

·       That school systems would know how to handle childhood obesity & mental health issues

·       That God's presence would permeate our schools

·       That God would bless and increase Christian Clubs and outreaches

·       That DCF will not promote pro-homosexual religious teachings on the youth & children would be protected from this & other Anti-Christian Agenda's

Resist the enemy:

·       Resist the enemy's work to try to destroy our children through unbiblical teachings and philosophies

·       Resist the enemy's work to bring division in all the relationships that involve our children and schools

·       Resist the spirit of lust from infiltrating our schools

·       Resist the enemy's work to keep our children bound in violent music, dance, video games & TV

Praise:

·       Many Children were protected and kept safe this summer

HEALTHCARE

3 John 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Areas to consider: Doctors, Nurses, Healthcare Legislation, Swine Flu threats, Sanctity & Dignity of Life from Birth to Death, Pharmaceutical Companies, Medical Companies, Insurance Companies, Hospitals, Home Care, Pregnancy Resource Centers, Clinics, Tort Reform, Alternative Health Remedies, Preventative Care, Mental Health

Thank God for:

·       His provision for good health in our bodies

·       His working through the Health Care Professionals

·       His provision through His Spirit, Word, & Power to bring healing

·       His providing natural resources for our health & His wisdom to take advantage of this provision

Repent for:

·       Abuse and malpractice of doctors in their care for their patients

·       Spirit of greed in the fraudulent activity that is associated in this field

·       The many children that have been aborted in this state

·       The lack of trust in God in the area of healthcare

Declare:

·       That Jesus Christ is Lord of the Healthcare Profession & Industry in CT

·       God's mercy extends to the health of our bodies, minds, and emotions

·       That our Healthcare System values life at all stages

·       That Healthcare Professionals will maintain a high level of integrity & represent Christ in their daily practice

·       That Healthcare Professionals will be guided by the Lord in how they operate and administer health to people

Pray:

·       That there would be an increase in the healing anointing impacting more people in the state

·       That there would be an increase in the number of new cures developed for some of the most popular diseases

·       That these cures would be more readily available for use by our Healthcare Professionals

·       That all New Age & Occult principles and remedies be removed from our healthcare facilities.

·       That medical fraud and quackery would be exposed & eliminated in our state

·       That all of the legislation and the decisions being voted upon and approved will glorify God and His Word and be a benefit to the patients of this state. 

·       That legislators will have wisdom, and creativity to promote family and life-giving principles.

·       That Healthcare Professionals will be protected by laws that keep them from going against their conscience

·       That legislation will be defeated which authorizes the HHS Secretary to determine what services must be covered by all insurance plans, both public and private.

·       That our state would be protected from the spread of flu, disease, virus, or illness.

·       That God would bless the 6200+ CT children in DCF custody in spirit, soul, & body

·       That God would inspire people to have a healthier life style

·       That pregnancy resource centers & clinics have favor, protection, & greater unity to operate and save lives

·       That pregnancy resource centers will continue to be able to use ultrasound to verify first trimester pregnancies

Resist the enemy:

·       Resist the spirit of greed and the temptation to make money more important than the life & health of people

·       Resist the spirit of death to keep legislation from hindering the work of pregnancy resource centers

Praise God for:

·       Continued protection from Swine Flu breakouts

·       Children were protected from death and injury involving summer sports & especially water sports

·       Babies lives that have been saved through ultrasound technology

MEDIA

Matt 12:36-37 But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.  For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.

Areas to consider: Newspapers, Periodicals, Radio, Television, Online, Industry Executives, Announcers, Reporters, Writers, Hollywood Film Producers, Actor & Actresses, Designers, Make Up Artists, Lighting Specialists, Cartoonists, Printers, Advertising Specialists, Musicians, etc. 

Thank God for:

·       Christian television and radio stations & programs, publications, and other resource centers

·       The expansion of media outlets in sharing and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ

·       Christians in Hollywood & other media outlets who are having an impact on secular programming

·       Raising up higher standards in the media industry

Repent for:

·       Allowing secular media to take over our homes, time, thoughts, and families

·       Watching & purchasing unwholesome or blatantly immoral material

·       A lack of prayer in regards to those who influence what gets produced, created, written & broadcast

·       Allowing ungodly music to influence the lives of our children

Declare:

·       Jesus is Lord over the Air Waves

·       That God intends our media outlets to be used for His purposes and for the benefit of the people

·       That whatever is written, said, broadcast, or filmed in CT would glorify God

·       That there will be an expansion and financial support for more Christian Media Outlets

Pray:

·       That those who are involved media would have & operate in greater wisdom, maturity, & peace

·       That there would be higher journalistic standards

·       That there would be more balanced news content so as to inform appropriately and not manipulate the public

·       That media outlets would become more profitable

·       That there will be an increase in local, CT based ownership of the media outlets

·       That there will be an increase in Christian media outlets with high journalistic & business skills

·       That there will be an increase in Christian support towards these Christian media outlets

·       That the threat to stop or hinder conservative media outlets would stop and have no influence on their operations

·       That the power of God would influence what is created and produced in our state

·       That those in the media and entertainment would be strongly impacted by the Spirit of God

Resist the enemy:

·              Resist the enemy's work to try to control and infiltrate the homes and families of CT

·              Resist the enemy's use of the media to manipulate or influence our decisions that goes against Godly principles

·              Resist the Anti-Christ Spirit in media outlets to influence people away from the work and principles of God

·              Resist the enemy's work to try to hinder the expansion of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in media outlets in CT
