Missions Update

Click here to learn how you can play a part in equipping leaders in developing nations.

WMI works with ministries all around the world who join with us in building a house of prayer through Operation Rolling Thunder.  Currently we are working with churches in Kenya, India, Pakistan and Myanmar.  We work with leaders who share our vision to connect and unite the body of Christ in a city through Operation Rolling Thunder and CONECT.  Our ability to support them is dependent upon the supply God provides through people like you.  In addition to establishing 24/7/365 prayer in each city we also support 3 orphanages and 2 bible schools who are associated with our CONECTers.  If you would like to help us serve the five orphanages and three Bible Schools we currently support then click here.    In the memo section please write missions or the nation you are interested in supporting.

Here are a few examples of the kind of work we are doing in developing nations.

Pakistan -  As of July of 09 there are now 127 CONECTers in five cities.  They are also translating our training on CONECT and Operation Rolling Thunder into Urdu.   As of 2/09 we need to raise $1200 to publish more ORT books into Urdu.  The intent is to use teach children in secondary education schools Operation Rolling Thunder while Muslims spend their 40 minutes with their religious training.  Through this strategy church history was made as it led to the first church planted in a jail in Pakistani history in December of 2008.  By March 2009 a Muslim guard accepted Christ as he had a supernatural encounter with Jesus.  As the prisoners were praying, he saw a bright light and Jesus come and sit with the prisoners.  He knelt down, prayed and accepted Jesus right on the spot.

Myanmar Update:  On May 3rd a cyclone hit Myanmar and it is estimated that up to 100,000 may Rev. Kwal's Seminary Studentshave died.  Click here for a breaking story about the effect on children.

We work with two pastors in Myanmar: Pastor Philip Thang of "Win Myanmar Missions" and "Rev. Kwal of "Light Bearers Ministries."  Each of these ministries oversees a church, bible school or seminary and an orphanage.  They were working on Opeation Rolling Thunder and also translating our Spiritual War College courses into Burmese.

I heard from Pastor Thang on May 9th.  They are OK though the orphans do not have a place to stay as their home was severely damaged.  Their workers building was also destroyed.  Here are some pictures.

We have found a way to send financial aid to them.  If you would like to send a donation to help please click here to go to our donation page and give online through the general offering or mail a check.  You can note "Myanmar" in the memo line of the check or through the general offering online as well.

Pray for:

Protection, provision and shelter for the kids, families and ministry workers of the two churches, seminaries and orphanages.   Pray for their health, safe drinking water, and food.

Pray that God would move mightly through their prayers and that they would have many opportunities to show Jesus' love to others.  Pray for boldness to lay hands on and pray for sick people and that God would move mightily to heal.

Click here to give and note in the memo section that your offering is for Myanmar.  If you would like to give into any of the missions below please note the nation in the memo section.

Rwanda - Pastor Moise Bukenya who is affectionately known to us as Pastor Moses - Rwanda Gospel Center Ministries:  He has mobilized 13 churches in Rwanda, opened the door to a church in Denmark and is also opening up Uganda with 2 churches in Operation Rolling Thunder.  Recently we helped him communicate by upgrading his computer.

Kenya - Pastor Thomas Okinyi - Kisii Kenya:  Pastor Thomas has mobilized his city where 19 churches are Power To Changer Prayer Center Landplanting a prayer center as of April 2008.  Their fund raiser for the Kisii prayer center (Power to Change Prayer Center) occurs on June 10.  Pray with them for the $12,000 needed to build their prayer center.  As of July 2009 congregations in nine cities have been mobiblized so that Kenya is covered with 45 days a month with 24/7 prayer.  This led to a church plant in Nakuru last month.
